Alpine Adventures 2011

Fresh ideas…

Stashing your cash so that you can splash out on next season’s trip..? Good idea! Many of you have told us you would like to go skiing but the cash is a bit tight this year given the current economic situation. Don’t despair – although it seems almost unthinkable to miss a week or two of playing in the snow, we think it makes sense to be sensible (and save up for next year!). So this winter season we have a slightly different format and we are doing some independent trips in small group sizes.

We will be heading off for a hardcore off-piste ski adventure on Boxing Day – straight after we have given out our Christmas presents. We will be doing a recce of the off-piste areas in the Aiguilles Rouge area of the French Alps and checking out some new types of accommodation for small group sizes. In January, we turn our attention to Italy – who have had so much snow you just wouldn’t believe!

In addition to enjoying ourselves with some challenging skiing, we will be making new contacts and checking out the bars and local food (it’s a tough job but someone has to do it), and we will of course report back with resort info and photos. We are looking for inspiration for new types of off-piste trips for the adventurous skiers among you, and gentle ski holidays for beginners and families. Keep checking our website for details of trips planned for the 2011/12 winter season.

  1. At last some news on your site. Does this mean you will have nothing suitable for a doddering ancient skier like me this year? Luv George.
